Objective Corporation Reports Strong FY26 Financial Performance

Objective Corporation Limited (ASX: OCL), an Australian enterprise software provider, released its FY2026 financial results on 27 August 2026, reporting improved profitability despite challenges affecting its recurring revenue outlook.

For the financial year ended 30 June 2026, revenue increased 9% to AU$134.7 million, compared with AU$123.5 million in FY2025. Net profit after tax rose 5% to AU$37.2 million, reflecting continued profitability across its software operations. However, the company’s annualised recurring revenue (ARR) declined 2% to AU$117.3 million, highlighting potential challenges for future earnings growth.

Key Financial Metrics Highlight Mixed Growth Trends

Objective delivered several notable financial developments during FY2026:

  • Adjusted EBITDA: Increased 11% to AU$51.5 million, representing a margin of approximately 38%.
  • SaaS revenue: Expanded 22%, supported by continued subscription software adoption.
  • Operating cash flow: Reached AU$49.3 million, compared with AU$46.3 million in FY2025.
  • Research and development: Increased 8% to AU$33.8 million, representing 30% of software revenue.
  • Dividends: Total annual dividends increased 18% to 26 cents per share.

At the close of FY2026, the company held cash reserves of AU$92.7 million and had no external debt.

Software Expansion Supports Long-Term Opportunities

Objective’s Planning & Building division recorded 41% revenue growth to AU$18.5 million, while Regulatory Solutions revenue increased 7% to AU$25.3 million. Information Intelligence revenue rose 5% to AU$87.9 million, although its recurring revenue declined following changes affecting major customer contracts.

Meanwhile, Objective continued developing artificial intelligence capabilities across government information management, regulatory compliance and digital planning platforms.

FY27 Outlook: Can Growth Offset Contract Losses?

Objective expects FY2027 adjusted EBITDA of at least AU$40 million, below FY2026’s AU$51.5 million. The discontinuation of a Defence support arrangement and another legacy contract is expected to create near-term revenue challenges.

Nevertheless, expanding government technology demand, AI integration and international opportunities could support future growth. Investors will likely monitor recurring revenue recovery, contract wins and profitability as Objective advances its expansion strategy.
