Highlights

  • Albion Resources Limited has secured firm commitments for an AU$1.8 million placement to support exploration at its Gidgee Gold Project in Western Australia.
  • Initial drilling at German Well South intersected 7 meters at 3.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 60 meters, including 3 meters at 6.7 g/t gold.
  • The company continues its aircore and reverse circulation drilling programmes to assess previously identified gold mineralisation and evaluate additional regional exploration prospects.

Albion Resources Secures Funding for Gidgee Exploration

Albion Resources Limited (ASX: ALB) is seeking to advance its gold exploration programme at the Gidgee Gold Project in Western Australia through a new capital raising. The company has received firm commitments to raise AU$1.8 million before costs from sophisticated and professional investors, providing additional funding for planned exploration activities. Albion Resources Limited's current market price stood at AU$0.055, declining by AU$0.006 or 11.29%.

The placement comprises 36 million new fully paid ordinary shares at AU$0.05 per share. It will be completed in two tranches. The second tranche, involving approximately AU$0.22 million, is subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting scheduled for 27 November 2026. Directors and management also intend to invest AU$170,000 collectively, subject to approval.

Initial Drilling Reveals Gold Mineralization

The funding follows encouraging early results from Albion's drilling programme at Gidgee, representing the first exploration drilling across the project since 2014. At German Well South, an initial aircore result returned 7 meters at 3.6 g/t gold from a depth of 60 meters, including a higher-grade interval of 3 meters at 6.7 g/t gold.

Drilling approximately 200 metres south of the historically explored area identified mineralisation extending to the bottom of the hole. Albion will carry out additional drilling to determine how far the gold mineralization extends and whether it continues across the area. Two drill rigs are currently operating at Gidgee. Reverse circulation drilling is targeting extensions to known mineralization, while aircore drilling is testing regional exploration prospects.

Exploration Plans and ALB Share Price Outlook

Albion intends to use the placement funds for additional drilling, soil geochemical sampling, LiDAR surveys and exploration across regional targets. The company also plans to exercise an option to acquire approximately 27 square kilometers of additional prospective tenure near the project.

Further aircore assay results are expected progressively, with initial reverse circulation results anticipated in late November 2026. Further drilling findings could shape Albion’s future exploration strategy, while more investigation is needed to understand the full potential of the gold mineralization.
