Director Share Sales Draw Attention as Block Shares Decline

Block, Inc. (ASX: XYZ) has come into focus after director Anthony Mathew Eisen disclosed further sales of the company’s Class A common stock. The latest Form 4 was filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on 28 September 2026. Block shares are currently trading at AU$104.30, down 3.24%, adding market interest to the director’s recent transactions.

According to the filing, Eisen sold 6,000 shares on 24 September at $74.58 per share, followed by another 6,000 shares on 25 September at $76.90 per share. He then disposed of a further 6,000 shares on 28 September at $75.20 per share. Across the three transactions, Eisen sold a combined 18,000 shares, generating gross proceeds of approximately $1.36 million based on the disclosed sale prices.

Eisen Retains a Substantial Holding

Following the 28 September disposal, Eisen beneficially owned 1,344,672 Class A shares directly, indicating that he continues to maintain a sizeable position in Block despite the recurring sales.

A separate Form 144 notice dated 28 September 2026 also disclosed a proposed sale of 6,000 common shares with an aggregate market value of $451,200, with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney named as broker. The securities were originally acquired as restricted stock on 31 January 2022.

What Investors May Watch Next

Block’s 3.24% share-price decline to AU$104.30 places additional attention on near-term trading sentiment. However, the regulatory disclosures show that Eisen’s recent sales form part of a pre-arranged trading program rather than establishing a direct link between the transactions and the latest share-price weakness.

For investors, the next focus is likely to remain on Block’s operating trajectory, earnings delivery and broader market conditions, while further regulatory filings could provide additional visibility into scheduled insider transactions.
