DroneShield Announces Company Secretary Appointment

DroneShield Limited (ASX: DRO) announced on 6 October 2026 that Candice Driver has been appointed as its new Joint Company Secretary, effective immediately. Driver replaces Carla Balanco in the role, while Paul Cenoz will continue serving as General Counsel and Joint Company Secretary.  DroneShield shares were trading at AU$1.775 on 6 October 2026, down AU$0.029 or 1.662% based on the market data provided.

Driver brings more than 15 years of experience spanning legal and company secretarial positions across ASX-listed companies, regulated financial services organisations and multinational infrastructure businesses. Her most recent role was with Regal Partners Limited (ASX: RPL). She will also be responsible for communications with the Australian Securities Exchange under Listing Rule 12.6.

Leadership Changes Support Global Expansion

DroneShield Chairman Hamish McLennan said Driver’s background across listed companies and regulated businesses would strengthen the company’s governance capabilities as it continues to expand internationally. The latest appointment comes amid a broader refresh of DroneShield’s leadership and governance structure. Over the past six months, the company has appointed McLennan as Independent Non-Executive Chairman and added retired Rear Admiral Lee Goddard CSC and Lynne Saint as Independent Non-Executive Directors, with Saint scheduled to commence on 24 November 2026.

The company has also been strengthening its executive team under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Angus Bean. Rebecca Lowde is expected to join DroneShield as Chief Financial Officer from 2 November 2026, further expanding the leadership capabilities of the business.

Governance Strengthens Alongside Business Growth

DroneShield describes itself as a global provider of AI-powered counter-drone and autonomous systems defence technologies. Its solutions cover sensing, electronic warfare and command-and-control capabilities designed to detect, track, identify and counter drone threats across fixed-site, dismounted and mobile operations. The company’s latest governance changes are therefore aligned with its broader growth strategy. The appointment of an experienced company secretary, alongside recent board and executive additions, is expected to support DroneShield as it scales its operations and continues developing its global defence technology business.
