Pro Medicus Secures AU$90 million Healthcare Deal as Cloud Imaging Demand Accelerates

Source: Kapitales Research

Highlights:

  • Pro Medicus Limited landed a seven-year agreement valued at AU$90 million with Beth Israel Lahey Health.
  • The agreement includes the company’s full Visage 7 imaging platform delivered through the cloud
  • The deal reinforces growing demand for cloud-based healthcare imaging solutions across North America

Pro Medicus Limited (ASX: PME) has strengthened its position in the global healthcare imaging sector after securing a major long-term contract with US-based healthcare provider Beth Israel Lahey Health. The ASX-listed medical imaging technology company announced that its wholly owned US subsidiary, Visage Imaging, signed a seven-year agreement valued at approximately AU$90 million. Pro Medicus will provide its Visage 7 cloud imaging solution across the broader Beth Israel Lahey Health system as part of the long-term agreement.

Demand Rises for Enterprise Imaging Platforms

The partnership incorporates Pro Medicus’ entire Visage 7 product suite, covering viewing, workflow and archive functions. The platform will support enterprise-wide diagnostic imaging while also integrating with Beth Israel Lahey Health’s electronic health record systems. The healthcare network operates 14 hospitals across Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire, alongside thousands of physicians and healthcare staff. Pro Medicus stated that planning for the rollout is set to begin immediately, with the platform expected to go live during the first quarter of 2027.

The transaction is based on a usage-driven licensing model, which could provide additional upside beyond the initial contract value depending on platform utilisation levels.

North American Momentum Continues

The latest contract further highlights Pro Medicus’ growing footprint in the North American healthcare IT market, particularly as hospitals continue shifting toward scalable cloud-based imaging infrastructure.

Chief Executive Officer Sam Hupert said the agreement reflected increasing industry adoption of the company’s cloud-focused strategy. The company also noted that demand for its broader “full stack” offering — combining imaging viewer, workflow and archive capabilities — continues to strengthen across healthcare systems.

Why the Deal Matters

The contract reinforces Pro Medicus’ reputation as one of Australia’s leading healthcare technology companies and signals continued investment in digital healthcare infrastructure globally. As healthcare providers increasingly prioritise efficiency, scalability and faster imaging access, cloud-based enterprise imaging platforms are becoming a larger part of long-term hospital technology strategies.
