Atomic Eagle Commences 30,000m Drill Program at Muntanga Uranium Project
Atomic Eagle Limited (ASX: AEU) has commenced its 2026 drilling program at the wholly owned Muntanga Uranium Project in Zambia. The program includes approximately 30,000 metres of drilling across three key target areas and aims to build on the recently upgraded Mineral Resource Estimate, which increased total resources by 24% to 58.8 million pounds of U₃O₈ at 309ppm.
Drilling activities are focused on Chisebuka, Namakande, and Muntanga North. At Chisebuka, infill drilling is underway to convert remaining mineralisation into a JORC-compliant resource, while maiden drilling campaigns are being conducted at Namakande and Muntanga North to unlock new discoveries. Multiple rigs and geophysical crews are actively operating on-site to support exploration efforts.
The 2026 program is designed to significantly expand the resource base and support the company’s ambition to develop a district-scale uranium mining operation. Backed by full funding for both 2026 and 2027 exploration activities, Atomic Eagle is well positioned to accelerate growth. Management remains confident in the project’s potential, citing strong early exploration success and multiple high-priority targets.
