Skylark Minerals Expands Gold Potential at Zaranou Project
Skylark Minerals Limited (ASX: SKM) reported significant progress for the quarter ended March 2026, highlighted by the commencement of its maiden drilling programme at the Zaranou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire. This marks the first systematic exploration campaign at the site, with a 23,000-metre programme comprising 20,000 metres of reverse circulation drilling and 3,000 metres of diamond drilling. The initiative aims to deliver new discoveries, extend mineralisation at depth, and upgrade existing resources.
Zaranou hosts an inferred mineral resource of 364,600 ounces at 1.8 g/t gold, while the M’Basso deposit contributes 11,700 ounces at 1.0 g/t, indicating strong growth potential. Early drilling results confirm mineralisation continuity along strike and at depth, with improved grades and thickening zones. Notable intercepts include high-grade sections such as 24 metres at 3.07 g/t gold and 23 metres at 1.66 g/t gold. Mineralisation has now been extended to at least 170 metres vertically, with further drilling planned to depths of up to 500 metres.
The project also offers approximately 47 kilometres of prospective strike with multiple priority targets yet to be tested. Supported by a cash balance of AU$7.53 million, Skylark is well-positioned to advance exploration and pursue additional asset opportunities, strengthening its strategy to build a multi-asset gold portfolio in West Africa.
