Atomic Eagle Refines Multiple Uranium Drill Targets at Muntanga North in Zambia
Atomic Eagle Limited (ASX: AEU) has reported encouraging results from ongoing close-spaced ground radiometric surveys at the Muntanga North exploration area within its 100%-owned Muntanga Uranium Project in Zambia. The surveys have refined and confirmed several large-scale radiometric anomalies across five of eight priority target areas, strengthening confidence ahead of imminent drilling activities.
The Company has completed 53-line kilometres of a planned 80-kilometre survey, with results highlighting strong uranium exploration potential. Notably, 424 out of 854 readings exceeded background levels above 300 CPS, while 87 readings surpassed 500 CPS, supporting the identification of higher-intensity uranium zones within broader anomalies. The anomalies are located along strike from the existing Muntanga and Dibbwi East deposits and align with favourable geology, structural corridors, and historical airborne radiometric and geochemical anomalies.
Management noted that the detailed survey work has materially improved drill targeting confidence, with drilling across targets 1 to 5 expected to commence shortly. In parallel, Atomic Eagle continues advancing a broader exploration strategy across multiple project areas, including ongoing drilling at Chisebuka and upcoming ground radiometric surveys at Namakande 1 and 2 during June 2026.
Atomic Eagle’s flagship Muntanga Uranium Project currently hosts a combined Mineral Resource of 58.8Mlb U₃O₈ at 309ppm across Measured, Indicated, and Inferred categories, reinforcing the project’s strategic importance within the growing global uranium sector.
