Augustus Minerals Appoints Dr. James Warren as Chief Executive Officer

Augustus Minerals (ASX: AUG) has announced the appointment of Dr. James Warren as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 4 August 2025. Dr. Warren is a highly accomplished geologist and executive with over 15 years of experience across greenfield and brownfield exploration, resource development, and corporate growth within the Australian mining sector.

His career highlights include expanding Echo Resources’ gold resource from 350koz to 1.8Moz, which contributed to its AU$240 million acquisition by Northern Star Resources. He also co-founded Tali Resources, securing an AU$55 million farm-in agreement with Rio Tinto and facilitating the listings of WA1 Resources and Tali Resources. Additionally, Dr. Warren has held executive and board roles at Omnia Metals Group (ASX: OM1) and Pure Resources (ASX: PR1), while serving as Chief Technical Officer at Marquee Resources (ASX: MQR), where he advanced a joint venture with Mineral Resources Ltd. His extensive technical expertise, strategic leadership, and proven corporate acumen are expected to drive significant value and growth for Augustus Minerals’ exploration portfolio.
