Radiopharm Theranostics Advances RAD202 to Cohort 4 Following Positive Safety Review
Radiopharm Theranostics Limited (ASX: RAD) has received a positive recommendation from the Data Safety and Monitoring Committee (DSMC) to advance its 177Lu-RAD202 (RAD202) candidate to Cohort 4 in the Phase 1 HEAT clinical trial, marking an important step in the development of its HER2-targeted radiotherapeutic program. The trial will progress to the next dose level of 180mCi in patients with HER2-positive advanced solid tumors, following the previous 130mCi dose level announced in April 2026. The DSMC recommendation supports the favourable safety profile observed to date and enables further evaluation at higher dose levels. RAD202 is a proprietary single-domain monoclonal antibody designed to bind to HER2, a well-established cancer biomarker associated with breast cancer and multiple solid tumour types. Importantly, an earlier diagnostic study involving ten HER2-positive breast cancer patients demonstrated clinical proof-of-concept alongside positive safety and biodistribution outcomes. The HEAT study is currently being conducted across clinical centres in Australia.
