Can Medical Developments International Sustain Penthrox Momentum After Strong FY26 Execution?
Medical Developments International (ASX: MVP) delivered improved FY26 performance, supported by stronger Penthrox demand and cash generation. Group revenue increased 9% to AU$42.6 million, while NPAT reached AU$0.6 million compared with AU$0.1 million in the prior period. Free cash flow improved by AU$5.8 million to AU$4.2 million, with the company ending June 2026 with AU$21.4 million in cash. Pain Management revenue grew 12%, underpinned by stronger European demand and Australian Penthrox revenue growth of 16%. Australian hospital volumes increased 28%, while European in-market demand expanded 18%. Importantly, Penthrox secured paediatric approval across the UK and EU for children aged six years and older, broadening its addressable market. Management expects higher FY27 Penthrox demand, although inventory stocking benefits will not recur and uncertainty remains around Middle East supply-chain disruption and US tariffs.
