AVAs BQT Division Signs Transformational Agreement with UniKey
Ava Risk Group’s (ASX: AVA) BQT Solutions has entered a five-year Master Supply and Co-Development Agreement with UniKey Technologies, a leading U.S. mobile-credential and smart-access provider. Together, the companies will develop a new portfolio of high-frequency NFC/BLE access control readers, incorporating DESFire EV3, Wallet-based credentials, and advanced encryption. The contract includes minimum purchase commitments worth an estimated $4.6 million for BQT, along with exclusive supply rights in North America and global distribution rights elsewhere. This partnership strengthens BQT’s position in the rapidly expanding mobile-first access control market, which is forecast to grow above 20% annually. The collaboration pairs UniKey’s mobile-credential expertise with BQT’s hardware engineering and manufacturing strengths, delivering predictable revenue, scalable production, and a modernised product platform. The first product launch is expected at the ISC West Trade Show in March 2026.
