Axel Advances ISR Strategy with Woolrich Field Trial Selection at Caladao Project
Axel REE Limited (ASX: AXL) has reported the selection of the Woolrich deposit as the field trial location for its inaugural in situ recovery (ISR) rare earth elements programme at the Caladão Project in Brazil. The planned trial will focus on generating pregnant leach solution under field conditions to validate extraction performance and optimize wellfield design. The programme will assess geological, hydrogeological and leaching parameters at scale, supporting development of the Company’s conceptual ISR model. Woolrich is supported by prior metallurgical results, including soluble rare earth grades averaging 464 ppm and a high-value magnet rare earth composition, indicating favorable project economics. Material generated from the trial will be processed downstream to produce mixed rare earth carbonate, enabling validation of the full value chain from extraction to saleable product. Ongoing column leach testwork will further refine operational parameters ahead of field deployment, positioning Axel for advancement toward development.
