Burgundy Diamond Mines Delivers Q2 2025 Update with Operational Gains and Cost Controls

Burgundy Diamond Mines Limited (ASX: BDM) posted its Q2 2025 results, highlighting mixed operational and financial outcomes. Ore mined rose 91% QoQ as the Point Lake pit contributed additional feed, driving a 5% increase in carats recovered despite a 26% lower grade due to blending with lower-value ore . Sales volumes fell 24%, and revenue declined to US$442M, reflecting a drop in revenue per carat and the inclusion of Point Lake ore . Adjusted EBITDA fell significantly by 281% QoQ, as weaker pricing and ore mix pressured earnings. The company is transitioning to a MUG-only operating model, placing Point Lake on care and maintenance, and implementing batch processing and cost-reduction initiatives. Meanwhile, the Misery Mine life has been extended to 2027 with promising resource upside, and the Fox Underground PFS indicates a potential 14-year life extension with robust economics.
