Chimeric Therapeutics Limited (ASX: CHM) has announced encouraging interim results from its ongoing Phase 1/2 clinical trial evaluating CHM CDH17, a third-generation CAR-T cell therapy targeting advanced gastrointestinal cancers. Four patients have now been treated at the highest dose level of 450 million CAR-T cells, with early findings from two patients demonstrating tumour shrinkage of between 17% and 40% across individual lesions. In addition, one patient has maintained stable disease for six months, while another has remained stable for four months. The company also reported no new safety concerns beyond the previously disclosed dose-limiting toxicity, supporting continued assessment of the therapy’s safety profile.
The trial has already achieved an 82% disease control rate among evaluable patients at the initial assessment, while manufacturing for the fifth patient has been completed, with dosing expected shortly. Chimeric plans to enrol the sixth and final participant by the end of 2026, subject to funding. Management believes the growing clinical dataset strengthens the long-term potential of its CDH17 platform across multiple cell therapy applications, supporting future development opportunities in gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine cancers.
