Cleanaway Waste Management Limited (ASX: CWY) has received clearance from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) to proceed with its acquisition of Contract Resources, a deal set to complete on 31 July 2025. This strategic move will significantly expand Cleanaway’s capabilities in the industrial services space.
CEO and Managing Director Mark Schubert stated that the acquisition will combine Contract Resources’ technical expertise and strong Tier 1 oil and gas client base with Cleanaway’s existing operations to form a leading integrated provider of specialised services to the oil & gas, resources, and broader industrial sectors. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Cleanaway’s strategy to capture growth in the decommissioning, decontamination, and remediation (DD&R) market. With increasing demand for solutions to manage complex and hazardous waste streams, the addition of Contract Resources strengthens Cleanaway’s ability to deliver high-value, technical services across Australia’s industrial landscape.
