Connected Minerals Advances Bailundo Toward Maiden JORC Resource
Connected Minerals Limited (ASX: CML) is advancing the Bailundo Carbonatite Project in Angola toward its first systematic resource drilling campaign. Around 6,000 metres of reverse circulation and diamond drilling is planned across two major surface-expressed niobium and rare earth element targets. An independent geological review validated these priority areas, while ongoing geophysical interpretation is expected to sharpen drill targeting and potentially identify additional prospects.
The programme includes approximately 2,500 metres of drilling at the southern niobium zone, 3,000 metres at the northern rare earth elements zone, and around 500 metres of scout drilling. Mobilisation and site preparation are progressing, supported by government and community engagement.
Drilling is targeted for completion before the November 2026 wet season. Subject to successful results and geological continuity, CML aims to deliver Bailundo’s maiden JORC Mineral Resource Estimate toward the end of the June 2027 quarter.
