Donaco Provides Update on Scheme Timetable and Cambodian Gaming Tax Developments

Donaco International Limited (ASX: DNA) has delayed its Scheme of Arrangement timeline with On Nut Road Limited (ONR) due to extended input requirements for the Independent Expert’s report, legal reviews, and regional holiday disruptions. A revised timetable will be announced once the Scheme booklet is finalized and new court hearing dates are confirmed.

Additionally, Donaco has provided an update on its Cambodian gaming tax obligations. Legal advice affirms that from 01 January 2025, its Star Vegas operations may be subject to a 10% Value Added Tax (VAT) on gross gaming revenue under Prakas No. 1080. This is in addition to the 7% contribution already paid to the Cambodian Commercial Gambling Management Commission, raising concerns over potential double taxation. Estimated VAT liability for Q3 FY25 is approximately AU$666,000, although no formal assessment has been issued. Donaco continues to engage with Cambodian authorities to resolve uncertainties and advocate for tax clarity.
