Endeavour Group (ASX: EDV) delivered a resilient operating performance in the first half of FY26, supported by improving retail momentum and continued strength in its hotel’s portfolio. Total group sales increased by 1.0% to AU$6.68 billion, with Dan Murphy’s and BWS recording a 0.7% rise, underpinned by stronger second-quarter trends and a record December trading period. The Group’s investment in lower shelf prices and value-led promotions helped re-ignite customer engagement, albeit at the expense of retail gross margins. Retail EBIT (pre-significant items) declined year-on-year, reflecting these pricing initiatives.
Hotels remained a standout performer, with sales up 4.4% to AU$1.17 billion, driven by gaming growth, refurbished venues, and strong festive trading. Group EBIT (pre-significant items) is expected between AU$555 million and AU$566 million, while profit before tax is forecast at AU$400–411 million. The Group will also recognise net significant items of approximately AU$45 million in H1 FY26, largely related to supply chain restructuring
