EVT Limited Acquires QT Auckland and Strengthens Hotel Portfolio
EVT Limited (ASX: EVT) has acquired QT Auckland, a premium lifestyle hotel in Auckland’s Viaduct precinct, for NZ$87.5 million (~AU$76 million). This acquisition reinforces EVT’s strategic hotel portfolio, securing long-term brand presence in a prime location. The 150-room hotel, which has received numerous accolades since its 2020 opening, includes a rooftop bar and award-winning restaurant, Esther. EVT’s acquisition strategy focuses on high-performing assets in key urban locations.
The QT brand, now present in cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Queenstown, Auckland, and Singapore, aims to expand further through asset-light growth, hotel management agreements, and brand extensions. EVT also plans to convert its Queenstown property to a QT hotel. Additionally, EVT announced the sale of Rydges Geelong for AU$24.5 million, reallocating capital to strategic investments like QT Auckland
