Flight Centre Travel Group Expands in Cruise Sector with Iglu Acquisition
Flight Centre Travel Group (ASX: FLT) has announced the acquisition of Iglu, the UK’s leading online cruise agency, for GBP100m upfront, with performance-based earnouts up to GBP27m. The acquisition, set to conclude by December 11, 2025, strengthens FLT’s cruise offerings by integrating cutting-edge technology and expanding its presence in the UK, which ranks as the world’s third-largest cruise market. The acquisition will significantly boost FLT’s cruise-related transaction value (TTV), which is forecast to exceed AU$2 billion annually in FY26, two years ahead of target. Iglu’s digital platform will integrate across FLT’s leisure brands, expanding its global footprint and enhancing sales channels. The deal is expected to be EPS accretive in FY26, with synergies including cost reductions and operational efficiencies. FLT has raised its FY26 profit guidance by 3%, reflecting Iglu’s anticipated contributions.
