High-Grade Uranium Identified at Klockartorpet Project in Sweden
Ragnar Metals Limited (ASX: RAG) released a price-sensitive exploration update reporting the identification of high-grade uranium mineralisation from recent rock-chip sampling at its Klockartorpet Project in Sweden. Surface sampling confirmed uranium mineralisation over more than 150 metres of strike, associated with sheared and hematite-altered rocks. Notable assay results included uranium grades up to 0.29% U₃O₈, along with elevated zirconium and hafnium values.
Reprocessed radiometric data indicate the main uranium anomaly extends over approximately one kilometre, suggesting significant strike potential for shear-hosted mineralisation. In addition, at least four other uranium anomalies have been identified through geophysical interpretation and remain untested in the field. The geochemical association of uranium with zirconium and hafnium supports a possible hydrothermal origin, with further mineralogical studies underway. The announcement is price sensitive due to its implications for exploration upside and the potential scale of uranium mineralisation at Klockartorpet.
