Impact Minerals Announces New Mineralised Zone at Silica Hill Following Initial Drilling
Impact Minerals Limited (ASX: IPT) has completed its Phase I diamond drilling program at the Commonwealth Gold–Silver Project in New South Wales, with all six drill holes confirming the presence of mineralisation. A notable outcome is the discovery of a new sulphide-rich zone at Silica Hill, situated roughly 100 metres beyond the previously outlined mineralised area, suggesting the system may be larger than earlier estimates. Additional mineralisation identified at Commonwealth South further supports the project’s expansion potential. The drilling campaign spanned 1,239 metres and represents a significant step under the joint venture arrangement with Kuniko, which has the option to increase its stake in the project. Laboratory assay results are anticipated in early April and are expected to provide detailed insights into mineral grades. Based on encouraging early observations, the partners are planning a Phase II drilling program to explore extensions and unlock further resource potential.
