Invion Expands Photosoft into Pet Cancer Market Through Protect Collaboration

Invion Limited (ASX: IVX) has entered a funded collaboration with Protect Animal Health Inc. (7850.TT) to explore Photosoft™ for treating cancer in companion animals. Under the agreement, Protect will fund and conduct in vitro, in vivo, and pet studies, while Invion will provide Photosoft compounds and retain full intellectual property rights.

If successful, the partnership could progress into a co-development and commercialisation agreement, opening a new growth channel for Photosoft beyond human health. The global pet cancer therapeutics market, valued at US$4.8 billion in 2024, is projected to reach US$12.1 billion by 2034 with a 9.7% CAGR. Executive Chairman Thian Chew said the collaboration complements Invion’s ongoing partnerships in human oncology, expanding Photosoft’s applications into a rapidly growing segment of the veterinary therapeutics market.
