Leadership Transition at Cobalt Blue Ahead of AGM

Cobalt Blue Holdings Limited (ASX: COB) has announced that Chairman Rob Biancardi will retire following the 2025 Annual General Meeting, concluding nearly a decade of leadership. Joe Kaderavek is set to take over as Chair after the AGM. In a strategic move, Chief Executive Officer Dr Andrew Tong has been appointed as Managing Director and joins the Board effective immediately. Dr Tong brings over 20 years of experience in mining and processing, including seven years with Cobalt Blue. The company is also initiating a search for a new Independent Non-Executive Director to strengthen its Board as it progresses toward a final investment decision on the Kwinana Cobalt Refinery. Additionally, Cobalt Blue has decided to defer its proposed name change to Core Blue Minerals Limited, citing evolving strategic priorities. The Board believes the refreshed leadership will support future growth and shareholder value.
