Liontown Resources Achieves Commercial Production and Strong Financials at Kathleen Valley

Liontown Resources Limited (ASX: LTR) delivered a robust March 2025 Quarter, achieving commercial production at its Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation and posting strong financial and operational metrics. Quarterly revenue rose 17% to AU$104 million, supported by the sale of 93,940 dmt of spodumene concentrate, contributing to 208,629 dmt produced since start-up. Focusing on operational efficiency led to a 10% increase in lithia recovery to 64% and a unit operating cost of AU$ 816 (US$512) per dmt SC6e — an 18% reduction quarter-on-quarter.

Preparations for underground production progressed ahead of schedule, with the first stopping blast completed in early April. Meanwhile, open pit mining moved 2.5Mt of material, and process plant performance exceeded expectations with 91% SAG mill availability and ore processing 583kt. The company reported a positive cash flow of AU$14 million and a quarter-end cash balance of AU$173 million, and it continues to target a 70% recovery rate by Q3 FY26 as underground mining scales up.
