Livium Ltd (ASX: LIT) has received an A$663,000 R&D tax incentive rebate for FY25 linked to its wholly owned subsidiary VSPC Pty Ltd, reinforcing its commitment to developing advanced cathode powder technologies. This latest rebate brings Livium’s total FY25 R&D refunds to AU$1.4 million, following earlier support of AU$653,000 for Envirostream. The company also expects an additional R&D rebate distribution from LieNA Pty Ltd, its 50:50 joint venture with Mineral Resources Limited, further enhancing its funding position.
According to CEO Simon Linge, the rebates—combined with Livium’s recent AU$4.5 million placement—provide a solid financial foundation to accelerate technology innovation across battery recycling, cathode materials, and adjacent circular-economy opportunities, including solar panel and rare earth element recovery. The continued inflow of R&D incentives strengthens Livium’s ability to advance next-generation battery material solutions while expanding its footprint in sustainable resource recovery.
