New Age Exploration resumes drilling at Wagyu Gold Project in the Pilbara
New Age Exploration Limited (ASX: NAE) has recommenced Reverse Circulation drilling at its Wagyu Gold Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region following the planned Christmas and New Year shutdown. The program is progressing toward completion of the remaining metres from the approximately 4,000 metre RC campaign, focused on extending known mineralisation along strike and at depth. Prior to the break, 24 drill holes for 2,388 metres were completed, intersecting geology, alteration and sulphide assemblages consistent with earlier drilling and supportive of a large-scale mineralised system.
Current drilling continues to target shallow gold enrichment associated with altered intrusives interpreted as analogous to Hemi-style mineralisation, while also testing deeper source structures in fresh rock. Wagyu is strategically located around 5 kilometres west of Northern Star Resources’ 11.2-million-ounce Hemi Gold Deposit within the highly prospective Mallina Basin corridor. Assay results from completed drilling are expected progressively through Q1 2026, with regular market updates planned.
