Niamienlessa Drilling Results Indicate Oxide Resource Growth at Afema Project
Turaco Gold Limited (ASX: TCG) has reported promising results from its follow-up drilling along the Niamienlessa-Affienou Trend at the Afema Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. Drilling at the Niamienlessa SW and Affienou West prospects confirmed continuous zones of oxide gold mineralisation. Notable results include intersections such as 14m @ 3.18g/t gold from 50m (AFRC0049) and 13m @ 2.23g/t gold from 41m (AFRC0050). The mineralisation at Niamienlessa SW remains open in all directions, offering significant resource growth potential.
Additionally, reconnaissance drilling at the previously unexplored Affienou West target returned impressive results, including 2m @ 13.26g/t gold from 14m (AFRC0072). These findings further confirm the presence of a widespread gold system along the Niamienlessa-Affienou Trend. The updated 4.1Moz Afema Project Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) is near completion, with additional drilling focused on expanding the resource base.
