Oakajee Begins Aircore Drilling at Paynes Find Gold Project

Oakajee Corporation Ltd (ASX: OKJ) has started an Aircore (AC) drilling program at its Paynes Find Gold Project in Western Australia. The initiative includes 28 planned holes, covering roughly 1,500 metres, to follow up on earlier gold intercepts at the Paynes Find South target noted in February 2024. The drilling work is expected to last around a week, with assay results likely to be released later in the December quarter.

Located about 455 kilometres northeast of Perth, the Paynes Find Gold Project sits close to the Paynes Find township and spans part of the historically rich Paynes Find Greenstone Belt, an area known for producing more than 72,000 ounces of gold. Earlier exploration highlighted gold anomalies above 0.1g/t Au, along with pathfinder elements including bismuth, arsenic, cobalt, copper, and tungsten. The gold trend remains open toward the south, and this latest program aims to extend and refine the target area while testing for possible bedrock mineralisation beneath shallow cover.
