Imricor Medical Systems Inc. (ASX: IMR) has reached an important commercial milestone after Philips confirmed compatibility between its magnetic resonance systems and Imricor’s interventional magnetic resonance technology. The declaration applies to five Philips MR systems and four system upgrades using software version R12.1.1 or newer.
This development allows Imricor’s NorthStar mapping and guidance platform, alongside its compatible equipment and consumables, to operate with selected Philips MR scanners in commercial clinical settings. It also creates opportunities to introduce NorthStar-guided procedures across Philips-equipped iMR facilities, including the German Heart Center of Charité in Berlin.
The relationship is extending beyond product compatibility. Imricor and Philips will jointly support Interventional MR Tutorials at the ESC Congress 2026 in Munich. The sessions will explore iMR laboratory setup, MR-guided electrophysiology and ablation procedures, clinical applications, and other cardiovascular interventions, supporting broader awareness and adoption of iMR technology.
