Pure Hydrogen Advances Spin-Out Strategy as Eastern Gas Corporation Prepares for ASX Listing
Pure Hydrogen Corporation Limited (ASX: PH2) is progressing its strategic spin-out of key Queensland gas assets into the newly formed Eastern Gas Corporation. Established in 2025, Eastern Gas was created to house Project Venus (ATP 2051) and the Windorah Gas Project (ATP 927P, PCA 341, PPL 2041), which were transferred from PH2 and its subsidiaries. Under the transaction, Eastern Gas issued 62.5 million shares and 10 million performance rights to PH2 as consideration.
The planned IPO aims to fund exploration, appraisal and development activities across both projects, which hold significant contingent resources as outlined in the Independent Technical Report. Eastern Gas’ prospectus also details indicative timelines, project overview, risks and capital structure in preparation for a 2026 ASX quotation.
The spin-out positions Eastern Gas as a standalone gas developer while allowing Pure Hydrogen to sharpen its focus on hydrogen and clean-energy technologies.
