Savannah Goldfields Limited: High Grade Gold Discoveries at Georgetown Project

Recent RC drilling by Savannah Goldfields Limited (ASX: SVG) at the Big Reef Extended prospect, located in the Georgetown Gold Project area of North Queensland, has returned encouraging assay results. Fifteen holes totalling 372 meters were drilled, with thirteen intersecting near-surface oxide gold mineralization. The standout intercept was 7 meters at 5.34 g/t gold, including 1 meter at 26.5 g/t from 14 meters depth. These results confirm the continuity of mineralized shear zones and suggest potential for delineating additional oxide mineral resources to complement the existing 10,000-ounce inferred resource at Big Reef. The company plans further shallow drilling to expand mineralized zones along strike and initiate mining at Big Reef later this month. CEO Brad Sampson stated that the findings validate Savannah’s exploration models and strengthen the project’s potential as a source of near-term feedstock for the Georgetown Gold Processing Plant
