Sayona Mining Recommends Shareholders Vote in Favour of Piedmont Merger and Capital Raising

Sayona Mining Limited (ASX: SYA) has released its Notice of Meeting and Explanatory Memorandum detailing the proposed merger with Piedmont Lithium and an associated capital-raising initiative. The Sayona Board has unanimously recommended that shareholders vote in favor of all resolutions without a Superior Proposal or Intervening Event.

The Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held on 31 July 2025 at 10:30 a.m. AEST as a hybrid meeting, accessible online or in person. The merger is expected to unlock synergies between the companies’ lithium projects—including NAL, Authier, and Moblan for Sayona and the Carolina Lithium Project for Piedmont—and reinforce their combined strategic presence in the critical minerals sector.
