Sentinel Metals Secures AU$15 Million to Advance Transformational Big Springs Gold Acquisition
Sentinel Metals Limited (ASX: SNM) has successfully secured firm commitments to raise AU$15 million through a placement of new shares priced at AU$0.58 each, attracting strong participation from both existing shareholders and institutional investors. The capital raising satisfies a key requirement for the proposed acquisition of the Big Springs Gold Project in Nevada, USA, a project containing an estimated 1.01 million ounces of gold. The funds will primarily support the acquisition, exploration programs at both Big Springs and the Columbia Gold-Silver Project in Montana, and general working capital requirements. Capricorn Metals also participated in the placement by subscribing for AU$3 million worth of shares. Subject to shareholder approval, the transaction is expected to conclude in early September 2026. The acquisition is set to strengthen Sentinel’s presence in North America and expand its portfolio with advanced gold assets located in well-established mining jurisdictions.
