Terragen Holdings Limited (ASX: TGH) announced impressive results from one of Australia’s largest ruminant probiotic trials, conducted at Charles Sturt University under the leadership of Dr. Paul Cusack and Professor Jane Quinn. The trial demonstrated that Terragen’s Dry Probiotic delivered a 4.6% increase in average daily weight gain and an 8.8kg higher exit live weight compared to the control group.
Key highlights include a 4.73x net carcass ROI, a 12.8% feed conversion ratio improvement, and a 7% higher marble score for treated groups. Additionally, significant improvements were observed in carcass yield, muscle area, ossification score, and overall value. These results build on previous findings showing productivity gains across beef, lamb, and dairy sectors. Terragen’s Dry Probiotic is set for launch in March 2025 in Australia, complementing its already available liquid probiotic range. This marks a significant step in delivering sustainable, high-value solutions to the livestock industry.
