Titanium Sands Limited (ASX: TSL) has provided a project update highlighting steady progress at its Mannar Heavy Mineral Sands project in Sri Lanka, with key regulatory and environmental milestones advancing. The Company has lodged its Industrial Mining Licence (IML) application, which is currently awaiting processing pending finalization of Sri Lanka’s new National Mineral Policy. This policy is expected to strengthen governance and support value-added mineral development, positioning the project within a favourable regulatory framework. Meanwhile, environmental studies are nearing completion, with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) expected in the coming weeks—marking a critical step toward project approvals. Financially, TSL has secured additional funding support, extending its facility by AU$400,000 (total funding support now AU$1.2 million), ensuring adequate capital to progress studies, licensing, and operations. Overall, the project is moving through key pre-development stages, with upcoming regulatory approvals acting as the primary catalyst.
