Highlights

  • Brazil Farming Pty Ltd, the vehicle through which Aurelia Metals director Franklyn Brazil holds his indirect interest, bought 10 million shares on market on 28 and 29 October 2026.
  • The two purchases cost about AU$4.48 million in total, at average prices of AU$0.428225 and AU$0.449632 per share.
  • Voting power increased from 23.79% to 24.38%, taking the combined holding to 419,357,179 ordinary shares.

Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) has disclosed a fresh round of share buying by an investor tied to Non-Executive Director Franklyn Brazil. A substantial holder notice signed on 2 November 2026 and a matching director’s interest notice show that Brazil Farming Pty Ltd added 10 million ordinary shares through on-market trades. Aurelia shares last traded at AU$0.407, up AU$0.022 or 5.844%.

Two Purchases in Two Days

According to the director’s interest notice, 950,000 shares were bought on 28 October 2026 at an average of AU$0.428225 each. A far larger parcel of 9,050,000 shares followed on 29 October 2026 at an average of AU$0.449632.

The substantial holder notice puts the cost of the two trades at AU$406,813.87 and AU$4,069,169.34. No shares were sold, and the director’s indirect position before the trades stood at 409,357,179 ordinary shares.

A Higher Voting Share

After the purchases, the combined holding reached 419,357,179 shares. That lifted voting power in Aurelia Metals from 23.79% in the previous notice to 24.38%, a gain of 0.59 percentage points. The previous notice dates from September 2026, so the stake has moved in a single step over that period. Mr Brazil signed the new notice as a director on 2 November 2026.

How the Stake Is Held

The interest is spread across two entities. Brazil Farming Pty Ltd is the registered holder of 382,757,179 shares, equal to 22.25% of voting power. Anchorfield Pty Ltd, a related entity, holds a further 36,600,000 shares, or 2.127%. Both are based in Brookstead, Queensland. The notice recorded no changes in association during the period.

Compliance Details

Aurelia confirmed the trades did not take place in a closed period, so prior written clearance was not required. The director’s interests in contracts were not affected, and the transactions were described simply as on-market trades.

What It Means for Investors

Continued buying by an entity associated with a director, at prices above AU$0.42, will draw attention from shareholders, because it increases the group\u2019s weight on the share register. Roughly one in four Aurelia shares is now linked to the group. The filings themselves do not explain the reasons for the purchases or signal any change in the company\u2019s operations.
