Telix Climbs on ASX as Investors Look Beyond Its Diagnostics Business

Telix Climbs on ASX as Investors Look Beyond Its Diagnostics Business Source: Kapitales Research

Highlights

  • Telix retained FY2026 revenue guidance of US$950–970 million, alongside US$40 million in other income.
  • Its commercial platform includes three FDA-approved imaging agents and operations supporting international expansion.
  • The proposed ITM acquisition could broaden manufacturing capacity, with completion dependent on required approvals.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (ASX: TLX) presented its expansion priorities on 4 November 2026, highlighting opportunities across cancer diagnostics, therapeutic development and manufacturing. The company’s shares traded at a current market price (CMP) of AU$13.720, representing a surge of 5.5%. Attention now turns to whether its established imaging business can underpin broader commercial success.

Commercial Growth Funds Pipeline Progress

Telix continues to forecast FY2026 revenue of US$950–970 million, plus US$40 million in other income. Annual revenue reached US$804 million in 2025, compared to US$517 million in 2024. The upper end of guidance implies approximately 20% growth.

First-half 2026 net profit after tax totalled US$38 million, while the Precision Medicine business achieved a 65% gross margin. Cash holdings were US$252 million at 30 June 2026. Planned research and development expenditure for FY2026 remains US$240–260 million.

Imaging Portfolio Extends Market Reach

The company’s FDA-approved imaging portfolio comprises Illuccix, Gozellix and Pixclara. Illuccix is commercially available in 22 countries, supported by a wider network of 45 manufacturing and distribution locations.

Development opportunities include kidney cancer imaging product Zircaix, prostate cancer diagnostic BiPASS and neuroendocrine tumour treatment candidate ITM-11. Their commercial contribution depends on regulatory outcomes and development progress.

ITM Offers Another Growth Avenue

Completion of the proposed ITM transaction is anticipated during FY2026, subject to shareholder approval, regulatory clearance and customary conditions.

ITM’s expected 2026 revenue is approximately US$300 million, compared to US$273 million in 2025. Manufacturing gross margins exceed 40%, although adjusted EBITDA recorded a US$12 million first-half loss.

Telix anticipates positive EBITDA contributions from 2027 and aims to capture US$50 million in synergies within two years.

Outlook

Key 2027 developments include TLX591-Tx’s interim futility analysis, TLX597-Tx OPTIMAL-PSMA results, TLX090-Tx Part A findings and BiPASS data. BiPASS could reach the market in late 2027 or 2028, conditional on approval. Sustained diagnostic sales, clinical execution and ITM integration will influence progress. However, trial results and regulatory decisions remain uncertain, and Telix has not provided formal FY2027 revenue guidance.
