American West and Ocean Partners Complete Key Funding Milestones for Storm Copper Project

American West Metals Limited (ASX: AW1) has successfully achieved major milestones in its strategic partnership with Ocean Partners (OP), marking significant progress in advancing the Storm Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada. The Company has finalised both a US$2 million private placement and a binding offtake agreement with OP, providing a major boost to both near-term and long-term funding certainty.

Through the private placement, Ocean Partners has acquired a 9.4% stake in American West. The offtake agreement secures 100% of base metal production—copper, silver, and gold—from the Storm Project for a minimum of eight years or for the duration of the project’s life as defined in the PEA. Additionally, OP will offer debt funding for up to 80% of the project’s initial capital, contingent on a bankable feasibility study. The partnership is already enhancing processing workflows and technical planning. American West continues exploration and development with regular updates expected throughout 2025.
