Qualitas Upgrades Long-Term Margin Target as AI Strategy Accelerates Operational Efficiency
Qualitas Limited (ASX: QAL) has upgraded its long-term Australian funds management EBITDA margin target to above 60%, reflecting the expected benefits of its proprietary artificial intelligence initiatives alongside continued operational discipline and business scale. The revised target increases from the previous goal of above 50% announced at the 2023 Investor Day and follows continued investment in an AI-enabled credit execution platform designed to streamline the company’s investment assessment and underwriting processes. The platform leverages generative AI to enhance document-intensive due diligence, accelerate investment decision-making, and improve analytical consistency while maintaining Qualitas’ rigorous underwriting standards. Built on 18 years of proprietary investment data and intellectual property, the system has been configured with AI-assisted analytical agents capable of performing extensive verification processes across investment opportunities. Qualitas expects the platform to improve productivity, support greater operating leverage, and enable higher investment volumes without proportional headcount growth. The company plans to implement the platform during FY27, reinforcing its long-term strategy of delivering scalable growth and enhanced shareholder value through technology-driven operational efficiencies.
