Arafura Strengthens Nolans Project Through Major Funding and Offtake Progress
Arafura Rare Earths Ltd (ASX: ARU) Limited is progressing the development of its Nolans Rare Earths Project through a major funding initiative and strategic partnerships. The company announced a ~A$350 million institutional placement along with a A$25 million share purchase plan to support project construction and development. The Nolans Project is expected to become one of the few fully integrated rare earth ore-to-oxide operations outside China, helping diversify the global supply chain for critical minerals used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, robotics, and advanced technologies.
The project carries a projected mine life of more than 38 years and is expected to produce 4,440 tonnes per annum of NdPr oxide along with 573 tonnes per annum of SEG/HRE oxide. Arafura estimates a post-tax NPV of around US$1.86 billion and forecast annual EBITDA of nearly US$472 million. The company has already secured approximately 93% of its binding offtake target and received conditional approvals for more than US$1 billion in debt funding, strengthening its pathway toward construction and future production.
