Askari Expands Lithium Portfolio with Acquisition of Kimberley Project

Askari Metals Limited (ASX: AS2) has entered into a binding agreement to acquire the Kimberley Lithium Project in Western Australia, further strengthening its lithium exploration portfolio. At the time of writing, the project spans 485 km² and sits within a highly prospective geological corridor near known lithium discoveries, including the Wodgina and Pilgangoora deposits. The tenements are underlain by granite-greenstone terrain known to host pegmatite systems, with lithium and associated minerals such as tin and tantalum identified from historic workings. This acquisition aligns with Askari’s strategic goal to build a high-impact lithium asset base and complements its existing projects across the Northern Territory and Namibia. The company plans to initiate systematic exploration, including mapping and sampling programs, to define drill targets. The deal reflects Askari’s commitment to expanding its global lithium footprint amid rising demand for battery-grade materials.
