Bass Oil Limited - Kiwi Gas Project Grant Announcement

Bass Oil Limited (ASX: BAS) has announced that its 100% owned Kiwi liquids-rich gas project has secured a significant AU$3.5 million grant from the South Australian Government’s Gas Initiative program. This funding will facilitate the development of a pipeline linking the Kiwi gas field to the current infrastructure in the Cooper Basin.

The funding marks a major step in advancing the Kiwi gas project, which demonstrated strong commercial production rates during a late 2024 test, with 4.1 million cubic feet per day of gas and 988 barrels of condensate per day. The grant, part of the state’s initiative to increase local gas supply, is contingent on the signing of an agreement and aims to bring the project online by 2028. Additionally, Bass is exploring further financing options, including discussions with potential partners interested in joining the project.
