BCN Bolsters Lithium Portfolio with New Tenure in WA and Field Mapping Results

Beacon Minerals Limited (ASX: BCN) has expanded its lithium exploration footprint in Western Australia with a new exploration licence application, E30/618, adjacent to its existing Barlee Lithium Project. Covering 202 km², this new tenure aligns with BCN’s strategic focus on lithium-bearing pegmatites in the Youanmi Terrane. The company has also completed detailed field mapping and geochemical sampling at Barlee, identifying large, angular zoned pegmatites up to 30m wide across multiple tenements. These pegmatites, showing mineralogy associated with lithium fertility, represent promising drill targets. The recent sampling program included 328 rock chip samples, with assays pending. BCN intends to begin drilling in Q3 FY26, prioritising high-potential targets identified during mapping. These exploration activities support Beacon’s diversification beyond gold production at its Jaurdi Project, signalling a strong commitment to critical minerals like lithium, vital for energy transition technologies.
