Begins Flotation Test Work Optimisation for Ashram Project
Mont Royal Resources Ltd (ASX: MRZ) has commenced a new phase of metallurgical flotation test work for the Ashram REE and Fluorspar Project in Northern Quebec, partnering with rare earth flotation specialists Auralia Metallurgy Pty Ltd. A 700kg bulk mineralised sample from Ashram has already arrived in Australia for accelerated analysis.
This program builds on strong results from previous SGS Lakefield work, which delivered high-grade rare earth concentrate of up to 36% REO. The current test campaign aims to refine the existing flowsheet, assess the potential to produce a commercial fluorspar concentrate as a valuable by-product for Stage 1, and generate additional concentrate for further hydromet optimisation and emerging processing technology trials. Managing Director Nicholas Holthouse highlighted that the results will support de-risking, enhance economics, and reinforce confidence as the project advances through Preliminary Economic Assessment and Pre-Feasibility Study stages with Auralia as a key technical partner.
