Catalina Resources Ltd (ASX: CTN) has announced the successful completion of a Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program at its 100%-owned Laverton Project in Western Australia, located near the world-class Mt Weld Rare Earth Element (REE) Mine. The campaign comprised five RC holes totalling 711 metres, targeting both gold and REE mineralisation.
Samples from the program have been submitted for laboratory analysis, with assay results for gold and Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) expected soon. The Laverton Project presents a promising dual-target opportunity, highlighted by a historical gold intercept of 28m @ 1.09 g/t Au and a nearby high-grade REE result of over 1% TREO from previous air core drilling. Catalina is now planning a follow-up drilling campaign based on the forthcoming assay data. The Company remains focused on advancing both gold and REE targets, leveraging its strategic location and previous exploration success to unlock further value.
