Cosmos Builds Local Execution Capability for Bolivia Lithium Expansion
Cosmos Exploration Limited (ASX: C1X), through its subsidiary EAU Lithium, has taken another step toward advancing its lithium strategy in Bolivia by securing a key engineering and project delivery partnership with SEPCON. The agreement creates a framework for a range of technical and operational services, including engineering assessments, logistics coordination, pilot plant support, construction activities, and process improvement initiatives.
The collaboration provides access to SEPCON’s extensive regional expertise and established presence across South America, particularly in Bolivia, where the company has delivered infrastructure and resource-sector projects for many years. By combining local engineering capabilities with advanced lithium extraction technology licensed through its partnership with Vulcan Energy Resources, EAU Lithium is strengthening its ability to progress future development opportunities.
The arrangement is also expected to assist with the potential deployment of Pilot Plant 4, a key milestone in evaluating commercial pathways for lithium production. The partnership enhances operational preparedness and supports Cosmos’ broader objective of participating in the development of Bolivia’s significant lithium resources through efficient and environmentally conscious processing solutions.
