Far East Gold Secures Majority Stake in Flagship Idenburg Project
Far East Gold Limited (ASX: FEG) has achieved a significant milestone by increasing its ownership in the Idenburg Gold Project in Indonesia to 51%, marking the completion of the first stage of its acquisition agreement. The company issued 50 million ordinary shares valued at AU$6.5 million as part of the transaction, strengthening its position in what it considers its flagship asset. The Idenburg Project hosts an inferred mineral resource of approximately 780,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 3.1 grams per tonne, offering considerable exploration and development potential. Far East Gold is now advancing a Scoping Study and plans to commence a Feasibility Study, targeted for submission to Indonesian authorities by the fourth quarter of 2026. The successful acceptance of the study is expected to unlock Far East Gold’s right to increase its participation in the project to an 80% holding. The development represents an important step in Far East Gold’s strategy to enhance shareholder value through resource growth and project advancement.
