Cuscal Expands New Zealand Presence with Paymark Acquisition
Cuscal Limited (ASX: CCL) has completed the acquisition of 100% of Paymark Limited from Worldline, strengthening its position in the payments infrastructure sector across Australia and New Zealand. Paymark is a major payments service provider in New Zealand and plays an important role in the country’s payment network ecosystem. The acquisition aligns with Cuscal’s strategy to expand its acquiring and payment processing capabilities beyond the Australian market.
The company stated that the transaction is expected to be earnings accretive in FY27, with anticipated mid-single digit growth in earnings per share and mid-teen returns on invested capital. Cuscal also highlighted that Paymark’s operations closely complement its existing acquiring business, creating opportunities for operational synergies and broader regional payment solutions. The acquisition follows the completion of regulatory and consultation processes, including the French Works Council review linked to the transaction.
